In commercial places, a sofa is used by many people every day. So you choose it with different rules than for a home. Here are the points to check for hotel lobbies, cafes and offices.
How heavy is the use
In busy places, a strong frame, high density foam and wear-resistant fabric are important. Talk about spare fabric and parts at the start. A small extra amount of the same fabric is a good idea when you order.
The right model for the place
- Hotel lobby: corner and modular sets give a large seating area
- Cafe: compact sofas and armchairs give more seats in a small space
- Office and waiting area: simple lines and easy-to-clean models work best
Size and layout
For corner sets, plan the number of modules by the entrance and walkways. See our corner sofa size guide for details.
Fabric and colour
Dark and medium colours show less dirt. Bouclé gives a warm look. Ask for samples to match your brand colour. You can compare fabric types in our fabric and frame guide.
Bulk orders and delivery
For many units, ask for production from the same fabric batch and a bulk shipping plan. Delivery should match your installation date. Our wholesale buying guide helps with this.
